SANKH was started in 1989 by Surekha Sharma the premise that companies didn't have to spend a lot. In the late '90's, while working for a supply company, she recognized the need among her customers for smaller quantities, particularly in jute and cotton bags which often had high minimums and required too much storage space in customer's offices. With a small family loan, and a friend bought a press and taught themselves how to develop artwork and make printing plates. For years the company operated in a garage in Northern Kolkata where the two friends sold by day and printed by night. Their focus was to provide quality printing and fast service on lower minimums that would better meet the needs of their customers, filling a market need not currently being served.

Over the years the company experienced tremendous growth, diversified in jewelry and accessories items and recently moved into a new facility with a 5000 sq. ft. warehouse area at Patpar Ganj, New Delhi and expanded its manufacturing and packing capabilities, fabrication, jewelry unit and product line, and grown to more than 150 associates. Very soon, Sankh is opening their another office with all products showroom at one place, manufacturing unit facilities, packaging and warehousing facilities all at one place in 30,000 sq. ft. area at EPIP Neemrana Industrial Area, on Delhi-Jaipur highway.
